Game modes

Wanting to keep things interesting, the Dahobul PVP League offers different game modes for fighters.

Skirmish
Free-for-all
Medals with points

A classic among classics, the goal of this game mode is to obtain the most possible points by killing opponents and winning medals.

Team Skirmish
Team-based
Medals with points

The name of this mode speaks for itself: you compete in a Skirmish game while being part of either the red team, or the blue team. You can see the name of your teammates as well as their characters when they are invisible. It is also worth noting that a player cannot harm his own team's members, including himself (yes, you can walk into your own potions, but you will only be immune to damages...). Each team's score is composed of each of its members' score. Obtaining medals is still an individual matter (except for the "Steaktacular" medal).

This game mode is not currently playable.

Skull
Free-for-all
Medals without points

A skeleton skull spawns at a predefined location in the arena at the start of the game. The player who picks it up has his inventory replace entirely with said skull. It has the power of killing in one punch (it hurts a lot). For each second passed with the skull in its possession, its bearer earns 1 point. Medals do not yield points in this mode. If the skull's bearer is killed, the skull drops on the floor, and can be picked up again. 10 seconds after having dropped, if it has not been picked up, the skull is reset and teleported back to its original location. Periodically, a (harmless) lightning strikes the skull, to more easily spot it, be it on the ground or in the hands of a player. Obviously, the happy skull holder is well highlighted on screen, like the King in the Regicide mode.

Team Skull
Team-based
Medals without points

Take the Skull mode, divide the players in two teams, apply the same modifications as the Team Skirmish mode, and you get this game mode.

Regicide
Free-for-all
Medals with points

In this game mode, the player in first place is designated as being the "King". His position is shown to everybody and everytime (his pseudo is visible and he is affected by a permanent Glowing effect). The higher his kill streak is, the more his bounty rises (min. 20 pts, max. 40 pts; 5 by 5; those points include the 10 generic frag points). If a player kills the King, he wins his bounty. The King wins 5 bonus points for each of his kills. Medals exclusive to this mode can be won. For the rest, this mode is similar to the Skirmish mode.

King of the Hill
Free-for-all
Medals without points

At the start of the game, an area of the arena is designated as being the "hill". This area is delimited by gray particles. The objective is to declare yourself king (of the hill, hence the name) by completely dominating the hill. Conquering has never been so simple, as all you have to do is to enter the hill to take it; its particles become then green. For each second passed in possession of the hill, the king wins 1 point (medals do not yield points in this mode). If several players are present in the hill, it is attacked (its particles turn red) and the king does not win points until he has eliminated his assailants. When there is only one player remaining in the hill, he becomes (or remains) the king. If the king leaves his hill, it becomes neutral again (and its particles gray). After some time, the hill moves. The different information relative to the hill (name, current king and time before moving) are relayed by the chat and a boss bar at the top of the screen.
